Hi Friends , Long time no blog ! Thought I should check in and give you some helpful wedding planning tips. Seems as though these questions come up time and time again and I thought I could maybe help your concerns with some frequently asked questions !

Order of wedding preparation :
1. Engagement ! Congratulations !
2. Set a date
3. Book your locations , ceremony and reception and accommodations
4. Select a style and a theme of your day
5. Plan your day , remember ~ many people in your bridal party more cost of your wedding…. more guests more dollars….. PLAN A BUDGET talk with those that are helping you pay for your day and have a realistic budget in mind .
6. Shop for a gown and have a good idea of the type of gown you like also bridal party attire. casual formal relaxed boho glitzy
7. Begin to hire your professionals. Photographer , DJ , Calligrapher, Videographer , Caterer, Florist , Limo , and Beautician .


Please call and ask me to save your date if indeed you know you want me to be your florist. I do not like to book too far in advance however I do book fast and dates close quickly. When a date is closed , I can not take another wedding. One wedding a day. FIRM.

Please have your gown and your girls gowns selected when booking your appointment with me . Many things are based on the style of your wedding gown, it is the axis of your entire day. The entire “look ” of your wedding hinges on your gown and your style . It is very helpful if you have a plan for your gown before trying to select your flowers.

Your flowers and an accent to your gown , it is similar to jewelry and shoes. It all fits together as an ensemble . For instance and long shantung silk gown will not look good with dasies and carnations. It should be accented with roses , orchids and more formal flowers. We need to have your entire look in mind when discussing and selecting your flowers. Do you want fresh or artificial flowers ?

When you are ready call the shop to make an appointment . When making your appointment please keep in mind that SATURDAYS are the busiest days of our week at the shop. Every event ( most every wedding is held on a Saturday ) . I am happy to meet with you in the evening, but most of the time Saturdays are not possible for a bridal consultation. Realistic expectations are so important when making your plans. Peonies are only available in May and June… Pointsettias are only available in December ….
